Our goal is to make medical information regarding heart defects readily available for parents who have children with heart problems, as well as parents rights to assistance and the human aspect of the problem.  We also try to promote our organization both locally and abroad.

Every year 70 icelandic children are diagnosed with heart defects, and about half of them needs to have surgery and a third of those surgerys is performed abroad.  The first heart surgery on a child was performed in Iceland in 1990, and since there have been over 100 operations performed in Iceland.
